Loco Moco with Chicken Gravy
While we were eating loco moco at Kualoa Ranch last year on May 24, 2017 a local shared with us her recipe for loco moco gravy. I added sauteed mushrooms and onions because I really liked that they were mixed into the gravy at Kualoa Ranch.
This is the recipe that Romolo typed into his phone as she was telling him how to make it:
Loco Moco Gravy
Flour, butter, and chicken broth.
1 block of butter, 2-4 tablespoons of flour (per block of butter), and then water it down with chicken broth, which is poured slowly.
The longer the roux is cooked the darker it gets. Add salt and pepper to taste.
